When I was in Montessori, I did a lot of classroom management- that really was behavior management. This is where I learned, for the first time, that parents & teachers are the cornerstones of any sort of collaborative care for a child.
Professionals can help your child while in a classroom or in a therapy session, but if parents are not trained in how to carry on the therapy and education techniques outside of formal settings, then progression is stunted.
Later, when I was developing an ABA multidisciplinary clinic, insurance required involvement from the parents. Here, therapists have discovered that they’re only as successful if implementation can occur.

Progress is necessary outside of therapy, and that’s where parent involvement is needed. It’s the same with classroom management, I could come into a classroom and manage until it’s a well-oiled machine, but the minute I stepped out the classroom would revert back to how it was before I came. Only when teachers got involved, and implemented techniques, did we see real improvement.
Both parent and teacher involvement create consistency for the child so that the environment stays consistent for the progression of the child.
As I coach private practices, I’m seeing many including parents in therapy, by providing coaching for parents outside of that therapy session. Providing therapeutic techniques for home use, lead to the success of a child’s learning.
We love everything about our work, but we’re most excited about guiding parents with practical tips to integrate speech and language techniques into their everyday routines. We’d be honored to partner with you, too!

Now, we’re looking a whole new world where schools are shut down because of a pandemic. Parents (who were not as involved before) now must be much more involved in their child’s education… but they do not know HOW.
As children go back into school, in virtual settings, parents are having trouble with the homeschooling aspect. Children are having trouble staying engaged or learning the material. Children in the special needs community have deep regression issues.
What we’ve done at Triton Support Services is provide courses for parents to identify signs of regression. We are assisting parents to identify regression and deficits in the areas of: attention , sensory regulation, and social & emotional needs.
Triton has educators, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists who are collaborating with parents to supplement any homeschool, public school, or private school program. Parents as the cornerstone of our collaborative care team.

If you know anyone struggling with school, please share this course.
Parents are transforming education for the future of our planet.
